Bvlgari sunglasses 2011 collection introduces a new signature – emerald. 3 models BV6050B, BV8079B and BV8081 have a beautiful emerald on the side. A new spokesperson Julianne Moore has presented the 2011 season through the ads where she wore genuine 10 carat emerald earrings. Of course, the promotion didn’t pass without a scandal. The ad was banned from displaying in Venice due to Julianne posing naked only being covered with baby lions. The ad was deemed to be racy and not appropriate for historic Venice landmark St. Marcus Square. The President of the Venice Foundation said that he finds the poster rather suitable for Hollywood referring to Moore being American actress. The ban sparked outrage because his remark was actually racist, not the poster ad. In his short statement President was understood as reason for ban is the fact that Moore is American.
But any publicity is good publicity, right? So enjoy these emerald beauties.
Two other new sunglass models are BV8076 and BV8077 with cute snake heads wrapping the temple. These also come in gorgeous animal print colors. We have a sense these will become a true timeless classics.
Men models of Spring 2011 come through BV5001, BV7010, BV5019Q and BV5016. All different shapes and both plastic and metal materials will satisfy any need. Other sunglasses models that are worth mention are BV6038, BV6949B, BV8057B, BV8078 and BV8021B. Made in a Bvlgari style, these glasses have a massive glamour on the temples that won’t leave jewellery addicts indifferent.
Among ladies plastic models are BV3010, BV4024, BV4047A, BV4048B and BV4034B. The last comes in a cute clear color that is one of the overall 2011 trends in many of other brands 2011 eyewear collections. It has been already selling off quite fast and admittedly looks unexpectedly good on the face adding it brightness and in the same way sustaining expensive image.
Among metal, new models are BV1041, BV1040, BV2111B, BV2093B. Each has it’s unique factor. I know, we Americans have been complaining about too much gold and too much shiny silver, but Bvlgari won’t listen. They say it’s big in Europe, so we have to swallow and enjoy. It’s jewellery in the end of the day.
